My Story

I get it!  I worked in a professional position supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities and mental illness and their families for over 30 years and felt my passion dying under the constraints of institutional roadblocks and moving hoops.

Ive lived around substance abuse and mental illness, been a caregiver in the sandwich generation, lost both parents, ran my own business (and sold it), volunteered in everything my children have been involved with, traveled too many miles to count to support them in sports… and forgotten to prioritize me.

My aha moment” didnt happen overnight and is a work-in-progress of tuning into what pumps me up and what brings me down.

Since 1989, I have found great joy and insight volunteering and working with seniors and those with disabilities.  When thirty years of bureaucracy and red tape pushed me toward a new profession, I slept a lot, enjoyed more family time and began to read voraciously.  I was drawn toward Expecting Adam, a book that had been recommended to me for years, written by a mother when she found out the child she was carrying had Down Syndrome.

That mother was Martha Beck. Her son, Adam, forced her to slow down, see more beauty and consider a different life.  She became a Wayfinder, a Life Coach.

My story is not her story.  I was a passionate case manager helping individuals and their families live their best lives.  I have suffered their pain at learning their precious baby had cerebral palsy or some other condition.  I also celebrated their joys as that beautiful spirit rose in spite of cognitive or physical challenges.

Now, as a Life Coach/Nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, I want to celebrate you and help you live your best life!
